Camping

By / 15th March 2019 / Things To Know / 0 Comments

A number of nature reserves in the UK allow the general public to camp out in them. If someone chooses to do this then they need to be equipped with a few basic essentials. Knowing what these are is crucial for not just a person’s enjoyment but also their survival when out in nature.

A Tent

No camper would head out into the woods overnight without a shelter. Tents can be easily set up and provide enough protection and privacy for people. Tents have been used for centuries because they are a tried and tested method of staying warm and dry.

Food And Water

It is important that campers bring enough food and water to stay healthy while out in the wild. It is common for people to also have cooking equipment so they can eat hot meals during the evening.

Communication

Keeping a mobile or satellite phone handy can be a life saver in times of emergency. You never know when you might end up needing help. Portable communications ensure that the proper services can be called. This also allows campers to call friends and family while at the reserve.
