Inversnaid, Stirling
By ashley / 27th November 2018 / Reserves Worth Visiting / 0 CommentsScotland can sometimes be overlooked by tourists who want to visit the nature reserves of the United Kingdom. This is a shame because the country has many wild beauty spots to explore. In fact some species, such as the red squirrel are far more abundant in this part of Britain than in the south.
Inversnaid in Stirling stands out as a great nature reserve to seek out. People can access it from the eastern shore of well known Loch Lomond. There are many high quality bed and breakfasts to stay at in this area.
When people get to the reserve they are often struck by the vast moorland which gives way to some spectacular views. Tourists will be hard pressed to find better looking vistas in the rest of Britain.
The reserve is home to amazing creatures such as the red deer. Pine martens are also regularly seen in the area. Bird watchers come here in the hopes of seeing the rare twite. This is a red type of finch, a distant cousin of the linnet. If you happen to be in Loch Lomond it would be a waste to not see this great reserve.
